Context
ETH Zurich’s Student Project House is an interdisciplinary innovation hub where students develop projects alongside their studies. To better reflect its hands-on culture of experimentation and collaboration, ETH partnered with Foundry to reposition and rebrand the Student Project House for a new generation of creators and problem-solvers.
Approach
Foundry translated the spirit of the space, where students “think, make, break, and connect”, into a distinctive brand platform built around the idea of a joyfully messy journey to creation. The rebrand included a refreshed visual identity, messaging framework, and digital presence designed to make the space more approachable and inclusive.
Outcome
The new brand was rolled out across a redesigned website, social media channels, and both ETH Student Project House locations in Zurich. Supported by a campus-wide campaign, the rebrand strengthened awareness and positioned the Student Project House as a central hub for experimentation, collaboration, and innovation.

Home of Student Experimentation

The website became the central digital expression of the new Student Project House brand, bringing together its positioning, messaging framework, and visual identity. Built around the idea of a joyfully messy journey to creation, it helped make the space feel more open and approachable while clearly communicating its hands-on culture of experimentation, learning, and collaboration.

A Tangible Expression of the Brand

Alongside the website, Foundry translated the new identity into a printed editorial publication. Bringing together the visual language, photography, and core ideas behind the Student Project House, the publication gave the brand a tangible expression and communicated its vision of open, hands-on, and interdisciplinary learning.

Great News! After a careful review by Zuzana Čaputová, the President of the Slovak republic and Ignazio Cassis, the President of the Swiss Confederation we got a big thumbs up and even a little smile for our latest creation for ETH Student Project House.

Thank you, Dr. Lucie Rejman, Head of Student Project House, for the trust and inspiring collaboration! It was a pleasure to bring your vision to print and into the hands of students, stakeholders and even presidents.
